You can delete your Clique account yourself at any time
!How to Delete Your Account
Deleting your account is immediate and permanent. You can do it from either place:
In the app
Open Clique, go to Settings, then tap Delete account and confirm.
On the web
Sign in to your account, then choose Delete account at the bottom of the page and confirm.
Can't sign in? Email privacy@getclique.io with the subject “Account Deletion Request” from the email address on your account. We will process email requests within 30 days.
1What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your profile, including your name and email address
- Your sign-in credentials and active sessions
- Your membership in every group you belong to
- Your poll votes
- The push notification tokens for your devices, so you stop getting notifications
2Groups You Own
- Groups with other members: ownership passes to the member who has been in the group the longest, so the group keeps going without you.
- Groups where you're the only member: the group and everything in it are deleted.
3What Stays
- Shared expenses: expenses and payments you were part of stay in the group's ledger so other members' balances don't change. You appear there as a former member.
- Legal requirements: data we are required to keep by law, if any.
- Aggregated data: non-identifiable statistics that cannot be linked back to you.
4Before You Delete
Deletion can't be undone. Before you go, you may want to:
- Settle any outstanding balances with group members
- Transfer ownership of your groups to someone you choose, instead of the longest-standing member
